This notice explains what personal data Luma collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Who we are

This website is run by Luma Solutions Group Ltd (“Luma”, “we”), registered in England and Wales with company no. 16880100. Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For any question about it, or to exercise your rights, email info@luma-energy.co.uk.

What we collect

• When you sign up for news. Your name and email address, which you enter in the “Keep in touch” form, and the date you signed up.
• When you visit the website. Our hosting provider records standard technical information about each request to the site: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and details of your browser and device.

We don’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

How we use it, and why we’re allowed to

• Sending you news about Luma. We use your name and email address to send you occasional emails with news and updates. We do this because you have given your consent by signing up. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by emailing us.
• Running and protecting the website. We use the technical information about visits to keep the website working and secure, for example to investigate errors or misuse. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to operate a secure website, and we don’t use it to identify individual visitors.

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for anything else.

Who we share it with

Our website and mailing list run on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which stores the data and sends our emails on our behalf, under a contract that only allows it to use the data to provide those services to us. The data is stored in AWS data centres in Ireland. We don’t share your personal data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

• Mailing list. We keep your name and email address for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending you emails straight away and delete the notification of your sign-up sent to our team. We keep a record that you’ve unsubscribed so we don’t email you again by mistake. If you’d like us to delete that record too, email info@luma-energy.co.uk.
• Website visit records. These are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your data
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data
• withdraw your consent to receiving our emails at any time

To use any of these rights, email info@luma-energy.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
